AWP provide specialist mental health services to the counties of Avon and Wiltshire and neighbouring areas, and more specialised services to places further afield.
The harm caused by addiction to alcohol and drugs affects millions of people and costs billions of pounds. In terms of damaged, wasted or unfulfilled lives, the costs are incalculable. People that suffer from addiction, and those closely affected by it, frequently liken it to being trapped in a physical, emotional and spiritual hell. These people are Clouds’ beneficiaries.
BDP is an independent agency, delivering an accessible and confidential information, advice and counselling service to drug misusers, their relatives and friends, and to other professionals working with drug misusers.
The Federation of Drug & Alcohol Professionals (FDAP) is the professional body for the substance use field and works to help improve standards of practice across the sector. It is part of naadac, a registered charity (1075222).
In October 1990 Focus Couselling was launched. The Bath YMCA supported the initiative by the provision of its own in-house counsellor to manage activities on-site at St. Michael's church, Broad Street. Since its launch, Focus Counselling has seen its reputation for providing professional and effectual support exceed all expectations.
